Since becoming a mother, I’ve found I am attracted to images of women, especially mothers, from photographic and art history. To make these collages, I am reaching back through time to revisit the mothers of the past, bringing them into contemporary conversations,  examining and reclaiming past cultural icons of the feminine, specifically goddesses and female saint figures.
